I have lived in Atkins my whole life. I graduated from Atkins High School and went to Arkansas Tech University. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in December 1996. I am certified to teach K-6. My teaching profession began at Hector Elementary where I taught third grade for 10 years. During my 22 years I have taught third, second, and fourth grade.
I began teaching at Atkins Elemantary in 2007. I have been in the Atkins School District for 12 years. I teach fourth grade, but I have enjoyed teaching second and third grade too. I have been teaching 22 years.
I graduated from Arkansas Tech University in December 1996. This allowed me to be a substitute teacher during the 1997 spring semester. I had the opportunity to be in many different schools and grades. I began teaching in August 1997. I taught third grade at Hector Elementary School for 10 years.
My husband, Chad and I have been married 30 years. We dated in high school so we have been together a long time. We have two daughters and a son. Loren is our oldest daughter. She is married to my son-in-law, Dayton Keathley. Luke is our middle child. He is married to my daughter-in-law, Hannah. They all live in Atkins. Livi is the youngerst. She is married to Jake Zambrzycki. They live in Hinesville, Georgia where he is stationed at Fort Stewart. We have many animals. Dan is our outside dog. Bailey is a very spoiled chihuahua who thinks she is a princess. Barnetta, our cat. Guess where she lives. Our barn. We also have several chickens and two miniature horses, Levi and Nina.
I enjoy many hobbies with my husband. I like flower gardening and repurposing furniture. Many things throughout my home have been created for a fun, useful design. I always enjoy attempting new projects to challenge my creativity.
