AMI PBS

Starting April 6th, Atkins Elementary will be keeping kids learning with Arkansas AMI, broadcasted on PBS each day.  

 

"Arkansas AMI" will feature five Arkansas Teachers of the Year hosting segments of each AMI day. The daily schedule beginning weekdays at 8 a.m. will be divided into the following programming blocks: 

  • 8-9:30 a.m.: Grades Pre-K-2
  • 9:30-11 a.m.: Grades 3-5 
  • 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Grades 6-8

Learning Guides, for students to complete each week, will be posted at myarkansaspbs.org/arkansasami. 

 

Viewers statewide can tune in to the KETS, channel 2,  using an indoor or outdoor antenna:

All AMI work will be turned in to the school when students are back in session.

 

Pencils and paper are available for students at the K-8 building from 8:00 - 2:30 each day.

 

Atkins School District will observe Good Friday on April 10th.  Students will not have to complete AMI work on this day.

  • PBS is partnering with WORLD Channel on a content block for children in grades 6-12, which will be made available from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday on ARPBS-4 WORLD beginning tomorrow. See how to watch WORLD Channel at myarkansaspbs.org/channelinformation.
  • Arkansas PBS KIDS 24/7 channel (ARPBS-3) supports early learning by broadcasting PBS KIDS programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • An Arkansas PBS LearningMedia resource page is available at ideas.myarkansaspbs.org to aid in kids' at-home learning. Search for the age range that most accurately applies to your students - ages 3-5, ages 6-11 and ages 12+ - to be connected with resources, educational videos, activities and games.
  • Schoolhouse Daily email messages offer tips and activities for those with kids home from school. Sign up at myarkansaspbs.org/engage.

The decision has been made to cancel our Spring Fundraiser. We apologize for any inconvenience, but at this time we feel that is the best thing to do. Please return all money collected on orders you have taken. The fundraising company will issue refunds for online orders. We will contact those of you who have already turned your orders into school.
